ZIPPTORK Assembly Technology

Make the tools you already run into a measured process.

ZIPPTORK combines a patented control device, a control algorithm and a wireless rotary torque transducer so that bolting, threaded fasteners, solid riveting, blind riveting, rivet nuts and lock bolts become controllable and traceable rather than assumed.

What it fits

Your existing wrenches

Air impact wrenches, oil pulse wrenches and cordless impact and pulse wrenches. The control layer is added to the tool rather than replacing it, so the line keeps the tooling and the operators keep the handling they know.

How it works

Three parts, one closed loop.

Each part is useless alone. Together they turn a tightening event into a number you can keep.

01

Control device

A patented shut-off and control unit fitted to the wrench. It stops the tool at the target rather than leaving the result to operator feel and air pressure on the day.

02

Control algorithm

The logic that decides when the target is reached, compensating for joint behaviour so a soft joint and a hard joint both land inside the band.

03

Wireless rotary transducer

In-line measurement at the joint, reporting the torque that actually arrived. This is the number that goes into the record.

Common questions

About the ZIPPTORK system.

What is ZIPPTORK?

ZIPPTORK is ZIPP TOOL’s torque control and traceability system: a patented control device, a control algorithm, and a wireless rotary torque transducer that together make bolting, riveting and rivet nut/lock bolt processes controllable and recordable.

Does ZIPPTORK replace my existing wrenches?

No. It is added to the air impact wrenches, oil pulse wrenches and cordless impact/pulse wrenches you already run, rather than replacing them.

What does the wireless rotary torque transducer measure?

It measures torque in-line at the joint itself and reports it wirelessly, so the number recorded is the torque that actually arrived at the fastener rather than an estimate based on air pressure or operator feel.

Can ZIPPTORK work with cordless tools, or only air tools?

Both. The system supports air impact/pulse wrenches and cordless impact/pulse wrenches.

Tell us what you are tightening.

Send the fastener, the torque target, the tolerance band and the tools already on the line. We come back with what the control system would need to do and what it would report.
